Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. We use a minimal set of cookies to operate and improve the Cronic service. This page describes exactly what we use and how you can control them.

2. Essential Cookies (Strictly Necessary)

These cookies are required for authentication and core functionality. They cannot be disabled while using Cronic and do not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive. They are all httpOnly and secure, meaning they cannot be accessed by JavaScript and are only sent over HTTPS.

3. Analytics Cookies (Consent Required)

These cookies are set by third-party services to help us understand how Cronic is used and to monitor errors. Under the ePrivacy Directive, these cookies require your consent before being placed on your device.

4. Payment Cookies

When you access payment pages, Stripe may set cookies for fraud prevention and payment processing. These are considered strictly necessary for the payment transaction.

5. Cookie Consent

When you first visit Cronic, a consent banner appears at the bottom of the page. You can choose to:

  • Accept — Enables PostHog analytics and Sentry session replay. Your choice is stored in localStorage for 12 months.
  • Reject — Only essential cookies are used. Analytics remain disabled.

You can change your choice at any time by clearing localStorage in your browser settings, which will re-display the banner.

6. Local Storage

We store your theme preference (light or dark mode) in your browser's localStorage. This is not a cookie and is never sent to our servers.

7. What We Do Not Use

Cronic does not use:

  • Marketing or advertising cookies
  • Social media tracking pixels
  • Google Analytics

8. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You have several options for controlling cookies:

  • Consent banner — When you first visit Cronic, we ask for your consent before setting analytics cookies (PostHog, Sentry). You can change your preference at any time.
  • Browser settings — You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in to Cronic.
  • Withdraw consent — To withdraw consent for analytics cookies, contact us at privacy@cronic.team or adjust your preferences via the cookie banner.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this cookie policy if we change the cookies we use. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date.
