These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Cronic platform, operated by:

By accessing or using Cronic, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.

3. Service Description

Cronic is an AI-powered newsletter curation platform. We help you organize, summarize, and read newsletter content more efficiently. The service includes:

  • Email ingestion and AI-powered content curation
  • Personalized reading experience on web and mobile
  • Content search and bookmarking

4. User Accounts

To use Cronic, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your login credentials confidential
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Providing accurate account information

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Cronic offers a free tier and a premium subscription. For paid subscriptions:

  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe
  • You may choose monthly or annual billing
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • You can cancel at any time from your account settings; access continues until the end of the current billing period
  • Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice

6. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a paid subscription within 14 days of purchase, without giving any reason, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).

To exercise your right of withdrawal:

  • Send a clear statement to legal@cronic.team within 14 days of your purchase
  • We will reimburse you within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal request
  • The reimbursement will use the same payment method as your original transaction

If you have explicitly requested that the service begins during the withdrawal period and you subsequently withdraw, you may be charged a proportionate amount for the service already provided.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Use the service to transmit harmful or illegal content
  • Resell or redistribute the service without permission

Your use of Cronic is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data in accordance with the GDPR.

9. Intellectual Property

The Cronic service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Cronic, Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws. Newsletter content processed through the service remains the property of its respective authors and publishers.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cronic, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

If you are an EU consumer, you retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence. Nothing in this clause affects your rights as a consumer under mandatory local law, including the GDPR.

We encourage you to contact us first at legal@cronic.team to resolve any dispute informally.

If you are an EU consumer and we are unable to resolve your complaint, you may submit it to the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the service at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
